Rick believes that everyone approaches his or her work with a special talent. Rick’s talent is, well, talent. He spends his days uncovering and developing talents in those who work for TOMS and championing the employee experience. From years of recruiting top talent to changing the way organizations look at their present and future employees; Rick Badgley is a leader in driving talent strategies.
Prior to joining TOMS, Rick held senior level talent/HR strategy positions with Starbucks, Wyndham Worldwide and Corporex. Before that Rick spent several years with retained search firm the Elliot Group where he partnered with both emerging and globally recognized brands to ensure their needs were met with the most talented candidates. If you ask Rick he’d tell you that his career actually began at a very young age when he began washing dishes at his parent’s restaurant. There he learned the value of hard work and an interest in the hospitality industry that lead him to earn both master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Johnson and Wales University.
Rick currently resides in Manhattan Beach, Calif., where you will typically find him catching early waves before work.
