Mark Hacker is a results-driven professional with thirty years of experience in all areas of human resources, leadership development and organizational effectiveness. Mark’s passion is helping individuals, teams and organizations reach their potential.

He is Managing Director of Alta Leadership Group, based in Denver, Colorado providing leadership development, performance management and executive-level coaching services to clients throughout the United States.

* Individual client focus includes executive coaching, managing career transitions and increasing self-awareness of behavior.

* Team engagement focus uses 360 degree feedback using assessments, leadership skills development and strengths-based team building. We offer needs-based assessments to quantify team member differences and leverage strengths to increase team performance.

* Organizational performance focus is on all aspects of talent management, performance improvement, leadership development and working with high-potential individuals and cohorts.

Mark retired from Walmart after a successful 22 year career in several senior leadership roles. During his time at Walmart, the company grew annual sales from $30 billion to $445 billion and became a Fortune 1 company. Mark’s experience ranged from running a department at headquarters to overseeing HR operations for a region with 20,000 employees in 18 Western states.

Mark is an adjunct professor of Strategic Human Resources and Leadership at the University of Denver. He teaches on campus and online graduate-level courses. Mark is a recipient of the Master Teacher award and consistently receives high evaluation scores and recommendations from students.

He also facilitates the Human Capital Strategist and Strategic Workforce Planning certification courses for The Human Capital Institute. HCI is the premier global association for strategic talent management and new economy leadership.
